With its remarkable expanse of 83 hectares, Tondoon Botanic Garden is an oasis in the hot Central Queensland summer and a lush leafy contrast from the industrious port city of Gladstone.

Tondoon Botanic Garden showcases an outstanding collection of tropical, sub tropical and dry rainforests from Port Curtis region and Far North Queensland. Officially opened in 1988, the tranquil balance of the Gardens is made up of superbly cultivated gardens overlooking Lake Tondoon and nestled into the undulating landscape of Mount Biondello.
For local residents and for the many interstate and international visitors, Tondoon Botanic Garden is a place of inspiration, relaxation, and recreation. Visited by over 100,00 people each year, it is a popular place for picnics, pleasant walks, cultural and ceremonial events.

Location
Tondoon Botanic Gardens is located on Glenlyon Street in Gladstone, approximately 530 km north of Brisbane and 5.4km from the Central Business District of Gladstone.

October 1 - March 30:
Weekdays 7am - 6pm
Weekends 9am - 6pm

April 1 - September 30:
Weekdays 7am - 5.30pm.
Weekends 8.30am - 5.30pm

Closed Good Friday and Christmas Day
